ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) As St. CLoud Regional Airport adds more commercial flights, they're finding a need to add more parking spaces too.
It's an issue that's being tackled this spring. Airport manager Bill Towle tells KNSI News they're adding about 200 gravel parking spaces that will nearly double the main parking lot's current capacity for 230 vehicles.
Towle says lighting for the new parking space has already gone up, and the parking lot will be done once weather permits.
He says he's also confident that car rental service will once again become available at the airport when twice-daily flights begin to Chicago on May 6th.
Towle says he's been talking with Hertz and Enterprise, and in his words, "it looks like they're going to have a presence out here."
