SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. (KNSI) Authorities have identified a pedestrian killed when he was struck by a car on U.S. Highway 10 Saturday morning.

The State Patrol says 23 year-old Robert Schmit of St. Cloud was dead at the scene of the accident near County Road 3.

The Patrol says Schmit was struck by a car driven by 37 year-old Angela Lott of Sauk Rapids.  She was southbound and in the left lane when Schmit was hit just before 6:00 a.m.

Sartell ane Sauk Rapids police assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
