PIERZ, Minn. (KNSI) A rural Pierz man has died after being crushed by a pickup truck he was working on.

Morrison County Sheriff Michel Wetzel says his office received a call just after 8:00 am Wednesday from a woman reporting she found her boyfriend dead in their shed.

When deputies arrived, they found the body of 33 year-old Zebulon Osborne underneath a truck he'd been working on.

Wetzel says Osborne had placed the vehicle on jack stands, but the stands somehow tipped over, allowing the truck to fall onto Osborne.

His body was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

Wetzel says the investigation is continuing, but it appears the death was the result of a tragic accident.
